About Tubli Bay Walkway is a public coastal promenade stretching about 400 meters along the waterfront, at the eastern edge of the Tubli area on the shores of Tubli Bay. People come for the open view across the bay, with the buildings of Mahooz and Nabih Saleh Island on the horizon, at its best at dawn and sunrise. The right side of the walkway draws seabirds: mostly gulls, sometimes flamingos, and the western reef heron in its dark gray form, standing alone in the shallow water on its long legs, looking for food.
Tips
- Go at dawn or sunrise for the best view of the bay.
- There is a public restroom at the walkway, but it's in poor condition.
- If you enjoy birdwatching, keep an eye on the right side of the walkway, where gulls gather, and occasionally flamingos and the western reef heron.
- Bring water. The walkway also works for a workout.
