What will you find on Torilu?
- A guide to places: cards with the location, map, phone, hours and contact accounts, and for many restaurants a menu with prices.
- Smart search: search by place name, kind of food, or even the name of a dish inside a menu, and filter by area and category.
- "Pick for me": if you can't decide where to eat, it chooses a place for you with a simple game.
- "Near me": sorts places by how close they are to you (if you allow location, and we don't store it).
- Articles: stories and guides about the community and its places, written with care.
How do we collect the information?
We collect place data from public sources: the places' own accounts, their ordering systems and some open maps, then organize it with AI assistance, and the site owner reviews it. We don't publish a place until its details are complete. If you see outdated or wrong information, please tell us so we can fix it.
Is the current content final?
No. We keep adding new places.
You can save what you like to "Favorites" without signing in, and the list is stored in your browser only. The site never asks you for an account or a password.
The “Personally visited” badge
This badge means the site owner has been to the place in person, beyond finding its details online. We add it each time we visit a new place.
The “Recommended” badge
The site owner's personal recommendation. It only appears on places they liked after trying them. A place without it isn't necessarily bad; we just haven't given an opinion on it yet.
Our policy on opinions and reviews
Torilu gathers information about places; it doesn't review them. A restaurant, cafe or bakery being listed here doesn't mean we recommend it or have rated it; most cards are information only: the name, location and contact details.
When we do give a personal opinion, it is labelled, like the “Recommended” badge. The site owner has to try a place several times first, enough to know the food and how the staff treat customers.
If a place has a lot of negative attention online, we will most likely give no opinion on it, positive or negative, unless our own visits there are enough to support one.
Ads and paid links
We don't show ads, and no place pays to appear on Torilu or to rank higher in search or in "Pick for me". The only commission link is the Cazasouq store link, and it says so next to it.
Your privacy
There are no accounts or passwords on Torilu, and we don't collect your personal data. Full details are in the privacy policy.
For business owners
Do you have a restaurant or cafe? You can list your business on Torilu with a QR digital menu and a WhatsApp order button.
Where some place data comes from
Some places took their names, locations and some contact details from OpenStreetMap, an open map built by volunteers and licensed under the ODbL. © OpenStreetMap contributors. We review this data before publishing it, and some of it may change over time, so if you spot a mistake, please tell us.
